What are the chances that I could enter into an abusive relationship?

I've heard that question so many times. There is actually a very simple answer, 1 in 4. It has proven that 1 in 4 females and 1 in 10 males will enter into an abusive relationship in their teen to adult years.

Next question: How can I lower the chances of being in an abusive relationship for me, or my kids?

This also has a very simple answer: teach yourself to respect yourself!
If you have more respect for yourself and your relationship, then you will have less chances of being in an abusive relationship. If you teach your kids to have respect for themselves and their relationships, then they will also be less likely to be in an abusive relationship.

Be respectful, teach respect!

It is always important to be respectful in a relationship. Respect is the number one rule!
By being respectful, your also teaching respect to your kids, or others. Set an example!
